Chair

A lounge chair designed with a leather sling wrapping a cherry frame. A grounding experience, the chair brings the body into a relaxed, low position near the floor. Designed to pair with the table, the chair features slot joinery that inverts the through-tenons of the table while maintaining the ethos of a rectilinear structure supporting a curvature--though changing the material language of the curvature. Subtle features provide a sense of cradling, including the joinery that wraps rather than pierces and a concave top surface of its horizontal stretchers.
