Golden buprestid vessels

A set of vessels that capture the life cycle of the golden buprestid beetle. Found in the Pacific Northwest, this beetle spends its life as larva boring beneath the bark of Douglas fir trees, creating intricate mazes of tunnels. Once it reaches adulthood, the beetle leaves the tree with a beautiful iridescent shell, only to lay its eggs beneath tree bark and continue the cycle once again.
